
Alexandr Vondra
Alexandr Vondra is a Czech politician and former senator. He was the spokesman for Charter 77 and one of co-founders of the Civic Forum during the Velvet Revolution of 1989. He served as a foreign policy advisor to President Václav Havel (1990-92), the Czech ambassador to the U.S. (1997-2001), minister of foreign affairs (2006), deputy prime minister for European affairs (2007-9) and minister of defence (2010-12). Currently, he is the director of Prague Centre for Transatlantic Relations at CEVRO Institute in Prague.
