Defence: Europe’s new electricity networks face danger of cyber attacks

Cyber-attacks are a reality and threaten the infrastructure which provides populations across the globe with electricity, water and communications. The US has woken up to the threat, but GIS expert Dr Frank Umbach questions, in this report, whether Europe has taken note of the dangers inherent in its EU-wide integrated electricity distribution systems.
