Professor Dr. Avraham Sela holds the A. Ephraim and Shirley Diamond chair in International Relations at the Department of International Relations and chair of the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.
He served in the Israeli Defense Forces as an intelligence officer and an analyst of Arab affairs for 16 years prior to his academic career.
Professor Sela specializes in Middle East politics with special emphasis on inter-Arab and Arab-Israeli relations in regional and historical perspectives, and in contemporary Palestinian politics and society.
