Rameez Abbas, who specialises in India and South Asia, is a lecturer and programme coordinator at the MA in Global Security Studies at Johns Hopkins University, Washington DC, in the United States.
She received a PhD in Political Science from Johns Hopkins, where her work focussed on migration and citizenship politics in India. Her research has been supported by the East West Centre in Washington, and she was also awarded a Fulbright grant.
Her research and writing interests include South Asian politics, citizenship and immigration, and politics of the developing world.
