Alejandro Peña Esclusa

Alejandro Peña Esclusa is a Venezuelan engineer, writer, analyst and political consultant. He holds a master’s degree in Security and Defense and graduated from the Venezuelan Higher Institute for National Defense Studies in 1988.
A former presidential candidate in Venezuela’s 1998 elections, he later founded UnoAmerica in 2009, the first organized effort to counter the influence of the Sao Paulo Forum. He played a leading role in organizing the first public protests against the Venezuelan regime in 2001. In 2010, he was imprisoned for one year in El Helicoide, a detention center internationally known for holding political prisoners, and was later forced into exile.
Mr. Peña Esclusa has extensive knowledge of Latin American political dynamics and is an outspoken advocate for the consolidation of democratic institutions in the region, particularly in response to the expansionist strategies of the Sao Paulo Forum.
He is the author of several books, including “The Continent of Hope” (2006), “The Sao Paulo Forum’s Cultural Warfare” (2021) and “Classical Art and Cultural Marxism” (2024). His work has been published in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian, Slovenian and Hungarian.
He currently serves as an advisor to Fundación Disenso (Spain), a leading expert for the Christian Democratic Institute (Hungary), and a senior fellow at the Center for Fundamental Rights (Hungary).
