Bob Savic
Bob Savic is head of international trade and sanctions consulting at the Global Policy Institute and head of European Union trade and industry regulatory advisory at the Federal Trust for Education and Research, both located in the City of London, United Kingdom. He is also a visiting professor of international relations and politics at the University of Nottingham, UK.
Mr. Savic has around 30 years of cross-border legal professional experience in China and Southeast Asia, Australia, North America, Russia, Southeast Europe and the UK, where he was based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Perth, Washington, D.C., Vancouver, Moscow, Belgrade, Sarajevo, London, Gibraltar and the Isle of Man, with various “Big Four” accounting practices and top global 100 law firms.
His current areas of advisory for international businesses includes EU, U.S. and UK unilateral sanctions regulations, in addition to research of multilateral sanctions at the levels of the United Nations and other international bodies.
Mr. Savic is a regular columnist on geopolitics with leading newspapers including the South China Morning Post and The Diplomat, and a writer for various legal and industry periodicals. He has also written a book on China’s global re-emergence, published in 2021, and is currently co-authoring a new book on the emerging multipolar world with the New York office of global book publisher Springer Nature Switzerland A.G.
