Pressure mounts for change to US visa travel policies

American companies are pressing for improvements and reform to travel policies for foreign workers. They want to see a change in the balance between security against terrorism and illegal immigration and measures which will help boost the economy. Immediate change seems less likely during a presidential election year but it is clear that politicians are listening and making improvements to help the travel and tourism industries.

LAW enforcement agencies have foiled at least 51 terrorist plots on America in the 10 and a half years between the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington DC in 2001 and April 2012.
