Geopolitical Intelligence Services
GIS was founded in 2011 by H.S.H. Prince Michael of Liechtenstein to provide business leaders, senior managers and policymakers with unbiased, scenario-based geopolitical forecasts to inform their strategic decision-making.
GIS is not affiliated with any government, corporate or media agency. This allows us to offer uniquely independent and impartial analysis.
Our experts are specialists in their fields. They include former government ministers, ambassadors, advisors, high-ranking military personnel, economists and leading academics with experience in the region or issue at hand. They are not journalists.
Their analyses provide deep insider knowledge and a thorough assessment of the subject, underpinned by a comprehensive contextual and historical understanding.
GIS reports provide insight into the geopolitical trends that are critical for decision-makers to understand. Typically, these are written by experts based in the region concerned who are able to provide the latest on the ground intelligence. Focusing on politics, defense, energy and economics, they are published daily in English and German.
All reports forecast possible scenarios for the future and their implications. Not influenced by popular opinion and sometimes bold and counterintuitive, these informed predictions are often stunningly accurate.
Reports can be purchased individually or in a range of packages. They are immediately accessible to be read on any device.
Comments supplement GIS’s in-depth reports with incisive opinion. Written by Prince Michael of Liechtenstein himself, as well as top GIS experts, they provide an informed viewpoint on crucial geopolitical issues. Sometimes challenging and always thought-provoking, these brief commentaries take a stance that stimulate debate.
GIS consulting services give our clients the edge they need to excel in international business. We provide unique, up to date, on the ground analysis and insights. Drawing on our experts’ local knowledge and networks, we help our clients secure a decisive advantage when they operate internationally.
Our independence means that our advice is based on facts, not ideology; our analysis is founded on current and future scenarios, not historical precedent; and our insights come from our network of leading experts with specific local and sector-based knowledge, not just from readily available secondary sources.
Our services include: face-to-face and online consultations, facilitated workshops and presentations, brokerage and representation services, coaching and training, and tailored intelligence reports. We help our clients make strategic decisions based on in-depth geopolitical situation analysis and scenario planning. We put the issues within their appropriate geopolitical contexts, so our clients can identify and evaluate potential international growth opportunities.
