Hungary on its own path
is a Hungarian-born journalist, writer and translator.
Born in Hungary, Ms. Koenen studied German language and literature in Frankfurt and graduated with a master’s degree. She was first a reporter, then editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Magazin. After 10 years, she moved to the editorial office of Wirtschaftswoche, in Düsseldorf. She then switched to business, where she worked in corporate communications in the automotive industry.
Since 2018 she has been the German correspondent for neokohn, a Jewish political magazine published in Hungary. She writes about Hungary for Tichys Einblick and the internet magazine Achse des Guten. She has translated books by Douglas Murray and Roger Scruton into German.
