GIS GUEST EXPERT Gisela of Liechtenstein is an environmental engineer working in sustainability management at Midas Gold Corp., a Canadian mining company focused on gold exploration.
She previously worked in construction site management in Switzerland and in mining consulting in Germany.
Throughout the years she has also conducted research covering various topics in the field of hydromechanics, ecological system design and climate scenario modeling in both Switzerland and Singapore. Her primary research topic has been stochastic and dynamic downscaling of climate model scenarios and their effects on rainfall-runoff modeling in South-East Asia.
Gisela von Liechtenstein has a BSc and MSc degree in environmental engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) with majors in water resource management and soil engineering and minors covering nuclear repositories, contaminated sites and assessments of sustainable development.
