Enrico Colombatto
Enrico Colombatto is a professor of economics at the University of Turin, Italy. He is also director of research at the Institut de Recherches Economiques et Fiscales (IREF) in Paris.
Among his other current positions and affiliations are: member of the scientific committee of the Institutions, Economics and Law (IEL) international doctoral program; member of the Council of Public Policy, Munich and Berlin (since 2001); member of the board of IREF – Institut de Recherches Economiques et Fiscales (since 2002); member of the Academic Advisory Council, Centre for the New Europe, Brussels (since 2003); adjunct scholar to the Mises Institute, Auburn (since 2003); member of the board of advisors, Center on Entrepreneurial Innovation, Independent Institute, Oakland, California (since 2005); adjunct scholar to the Centre for the Rule of Law (since 2005); and a member of the Academic Advisory Council, Liberales Institut, Switzerland (since 2007).
Professor Colombatto holds the following degrees: Laurea in Economia e Commercio (Univ. of Turin, 1977), M.Sc. in Economics (London School of Economics, 1978) and Ph.D. in Economics (London School of Economics, 1983).
He has taught Foundations of Policy Making, Economic Analysis of Law, Economics of Growth and Development and International Economics.
Professor Colombatto is also the author of several books. His latest is The Economics You Need, published by Routledge.
