Alexander Neill is executive director at Alexander Neill Consulting and a seasoned security and Asia-Pacific policy analyst with more than two decades of experience.
Throughout his 20 years of engagement, Mr. Neill has developed high-level links with the strategic community in Washington, London, Beijing, Tokyo, Taipei, Seoul and Delhi, including panel participation in key summits and closed-door discussions. He also provides regular commentary in international media.
A graduate of London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Mr. Neill worked for the British and U.S. governments in his early career, focusing on Asia Pacific security concerns.
From 2005, he served as Head of the Asia Security Program at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI) in London.
From 2013-2020 he was a Shangri-La Dialogue Senior Fellow for Asia-Pacific security at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, based in Singapore.
