Felix Bekemeier

GIS Guest Expert Felix Bekemeier is a management consultant in the field of Digital Strategy & Transformation and an external PhD Student at the Center for Innovative Finance (CIF) from Basel University. His writing on blockchain technology has been published in renowned journals and magazines (Capital.de, Tagesspiegel, Wissenschaftlicher Dienst des Deutschen Bundestages, among others). His interests include the microeconomic analysis of agent behavior in DLT networks and the identification of possible applications of blockchain technology. He studied math and economics in Bielefeld, Cologne, Stockholm, London and Milan while receiving several scholarships, including from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung). Combining the academic context with practical experience, he developed a comprehensive understanding of digital strategies, digital transformation and future value creation in the context of economic theory and research. Today he helps companies master these challenges and profitably use digital technologies such as DLT in the context of new organizational and value creation structures.
