Tatiana L. Palermo
Tatiana L. Palermo is an international trade, public policies and regulatory advocacy expert. She chairs Palermo Strategic Consulting LLC, based in Washington D.C.
Ms. Palermo served as secretary for international agribusiness relations (deputy minister) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, acting as Brazil’s chief agricultural trade negotiator, and has extensive professional experience in Brazil, the United States, the Netherlands and Russia.
Ms. Palermo sat on the Boards of Directors of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), of the National Food Supply Company of Brazil (Conab) and of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
Ms. Palermo has a strong legal background, having worked throughout her career with diverse regulatory, legislative and policy issues related to the agriculture, industry and services sectors. She holds an LLM degree in international business law from Leiden University in the Netherlands, a master’s degree from the Russian postgraduate School of Private Law, and a postgraduate degree in law of economic and commercial international relations from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
