GIS Guest Expert Tatiana L. Palermo is an International Trade, Public Policies and Regulatory Advocacy expert. She chairs Palermo Strategic Consulting LLC based in Washington DC, USA.
Tatiana served as Secretary for International Agribusiness Relations (Vice-Minister) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, acting as Brazil’s chief agricultural trade negotiator, and has extensive professional experience in Brazil, the United States, the Netherlands and Russia.
Tatiana sat on the Boards of Directors of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), of the National Food Supply Company of Brazil (Conab) and of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
Tatiana has a strong legal background having worked throughout her career with diverse regulatory, legislative and policy issues related to agriculture, industry and services sectors. She holds an LL.M. Degree in International Business Law from Leiden University (the Netherlands), a Master’s Degree from the Russian postgraduate School of Private Law, and a Postgraduate Degree in Law of Economic and Commercial International Relations from Fundação Getulio Vargas (Brazil).
